Rights Respecting School
Ogmore Vale Primary is a RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOL.

We put children's rights at the heart of our school.
The difference that a Rights Respecting School makes goes beyond the school gates, making a positive impact on the whole community.
- Children are healthier and happier
- Children feel safe
- Children have better relationships
- Children become active and involved in school life and the wider world.
We do activities, assemblies and celebration days to ensure our pupils are aware of all of their rights. They are also labelled and highlighted around our school.
We make sure our pupils develop a strong understanding what rights they have as a child in the world, giving them a sense of confidence and understanding of what a healthy and happy childhood should be.
We are empowering our pupils!
Mrs Pinches and our Mini SLT lead this and keep the rest of the school up to date with developments.
Children's Rights Day 2025
We will be marking Children's Rights Day in November by hosting a whole- school poster design competition.
All pupils can enter, all details have been emailed home. Below is a copy of the details. The winners will be announced in our weekly newsletter.
