Below is some of the partners OVPS currently work with to broaden our pupils experiences and further support our families.

Bridgend Citizens Advice

Ogmore Vale Primary works with Bridgend Citizens Advice Service allowing parents to access an appointment for advice. This happens on a Thursday every other week. Parents can book via the school office.

 

Employability Bridgend

Our families have access to a variety of training courses during the year hosted at Ogmore Vale Primary. They have provided CV writing, basic Numeracy and basic ICT skills. 

Bridgend Credit Union

Credit Union work in partnership with Ogmore Vale Primary to provide a service where pupils and parents/ carers can save on a weekly basis. It supports our pupils' financial literacy. Pupils can save small amounts such as £1.00 a week or deposit larger amounts. 

Shine

 Schools Inreach Emotional Wellbeing Service

Shine has run courses at OVP for our families to support them with understanding children's emotions and dealing with challenging behaviour.

 

Cooking Together

 

Cooking Together holds sessions on how to prepare healthy meals and get adults and children cooking together. The sessions provide families with an understanding of cooking as a life skill.
